Blame

I learned early
How to read a room
The way your silence cut and bruised
Love Was A locked door
Cold Handle
I searched for the key
You lived a lie
I Paid the rent
With all of the tears I spent
You said I was Stupid
You called me wrong
I Swallowed my tongue, stayed strong
Your gold crown....
Glass at home.
You wore your Halo For the street
Kept me crawling at your feet
You said I was weak
Said I was bad
Turned Your Child into something sad.
I hid my pain
I held my breath
I carried it like quiet death
You played the queen
I was the blame.
You burned my heart
To feed your name.
In the End
I'm the one you needed
You said sorry
Then your eyes closed.
I held your body
Till it was cold
I saw it
its true
you reap what you sew...
